Knowing How to Get Closer to the Most High Isn’t a Secret Only for Super Christians

So here we are at Part II, my friend, of How to Get Closer to God, and I couldn’t be more excited. Being Part II, you should really start with Part I if you wanna grasp the full scope of the notes I’m sharing with you today, and you can read that here.

Now we’re gonna dive right in because the Lord really has a lot to say to you today, so let’s revisit the founding scripture of this series:

20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

Matthew 13:20-21 KJV

In Part I, we started with how to identify the sin holding you back from desiring to give your life completely to God. That’s the biggie right there, bestie. You have to know what sin is hindering you from being able to hear Him or remain in His presence, because some people are even struggling to remain in Him once they receive Him. And it’s frightening. It really is.

So now, in our second chapter, we’re taking an in depth look into how to identify where in the Word the LORD has promised you victory over an unwillingness to give your life completely to Him. Because this is the key that sets you free. Not your manifestation ritual. You can’t attract a willingness to you with law of attraction nonsense. It doesn’t work like that because demons don’t bow to that mess. They bow only to the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony, we overcome all our trials with those two things (Revelation 12:11 KJV). So it’s where in the Word of the Most High we’re going to expose and discuss in our notes today.

Got your pen and paper? Got your notes app? Let’s begin.

Coming to Yahuah Humbly and Asking Questions is the First Step to Growing Closer to Him

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV

Sometimes we forget that we are the land the Most High is tilling. As spoken about in Part II of the three part series, How to Be Grateful in Hard Times, the soil of our heart is key in determining what we will speak into our lives. Because as Luke 6:45 says, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So if we are allowing an unwillingness to give our lives completely to the Elohim to rest and flourish in our hearts, what are we then speaking into our lives? What can we expect to come out of our mouths and prophecy over ourselves?

One of the things that convinces many believers to start dabbling in the Law of Attraction ideology is the fact that it bases it’s little bit of truth on Habakkuk 2:2— a scripture instructing saints to write down what is shown to them BY YAH so that they can remind themselves of what He’s promised to do for them in their life. This is the part Law of Attraction gurus leave out: not just where it’s a vision given to you by God, a direction to walk in delivered to you by Him, but the part where it’s for encouragement. It’s for encouragement for a prophet who is asking Yahuah about when Justice will be served in Babylon (Habakkuk 1 KJV). It’s for you, when taken out of the biblical context, to know that when you are surrounded by a perverse and wicked world, the LORD God Almighty still has plans for you (and righteous ones at that) that will empower you to keep walking and fighting the good fight of faith.

The part where He wants you to write down the goodness He has in store for you is so that you do not lose sight of His Word. That’s the point. When you keep reading and look at Habakkuk 2:4 AMP (and I love this version because it really breaks it down into layman’s terms), He’s reminding you that He sees those who are walking in mixture. Who are walking in the ways of the world. But you, my friend, you have been called out and He is going to use you for His purpose. It might seem like it’s taking a while, it might seem like you’re behind these worldly believers who are getting rewarded on TikTok and social media looking like the world but calling themselves Christians (you know what I mean). It might seem that way but your time is coming. He’s going to exalt you in due time because of your faithfulness to His Word. Every good thing comes from Yahuah (James 1:17) and He doesn’t want you to forget it in the midst of the illusion satan tries to blind you with.

WHEN YOU’RE FOCUSED ON THE WORLD YOU’RE NOT FOCUSED ENOUGH ON THE WORD OF YAH

So now it’s time to humble yourself and pray about this unwillingness you’re dealing with. This resistance to just do things Yah’s way. You know He’s good, you’ve got this great promise, but your eyes are on the world. You know they’re on the world because you keep looking at it, comparing your situation and how it looks to what unbelievers and lukewarm believers are projecting their situation to look like. The glitz and glam you see with influencers doing stuff you want to do, living how you want to live… but behind the scenes? What’s really going on? Heh. Honey. It ain’t worth it. And you know this deep down but…

But.

It’s that but that gets you in a place where you have to go and start asking the Father to forgive you for not listening to Him and serving just Him. Your heart is divided between the promises of the Elohim and the promises of the evil one, that lowly worm satan. How do we know this?

45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:

46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.

47 Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;

Deuteronomy 28:45-47 KJV

Now two things are here that we’re going to discuss in depth because Father Yah wants to be crystal clear with you. He doesn’t want there to be any lack of discussion on what it really means to get closer to Him in the last days, beloved. He means it. There’s a lot of garbage going around about this that dilutes what He means and makes things like these three scriptures feel like ehhhh… he won’t really make you a sign and a wonder to the world. Nah, he wouldn’t disrespect you like that for disobeying the covenant YOU went into with Him. Nah. And that deception is going to be explored here in point one, because it’s time to blow the lid off this lie for good.

WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT’S WRITTEN IN THE WORD OF YAH, YOU WON’T KNOW WHAT’S MISSING IN YOUR LIFE WHEN IT’S STOLEN FROM YOU

So Number One: Whether you read the terms and conditions or not, Deuteronomy 28 is what you agreed to when you gave your life to Yahusha, and became a professing Christian. Period. Salvation is free, yes, beloved. That’s just covering the entrance fee into heaven and eternity to the Lord. That’s. It. What happens once you’re in the kingdom? You’re still judged for that. You’re now an ambassador for Yahusha HaMashiach. If you’re an ambassador for the UN, for example, and you go off on some tyrannical mess when you’re sworn in as a symbol of the United Nations? You’re called to account for your misdeeds by said UN because you were representing them and their authority while running amok. It’s that’s simple. Same goes with Yahweh. It’s where we got the design for say the police: If you’re a police officer, you don’t have authority in your own name, but you have authority to enforce the law of your government because you are a representative of justice for that government.

So to keep you in line and serve as an example of what it is like living in the Kingdom to those who do not live in the kingdom, we have Deuteronomy 28. You expect (even when they don’t) police officers to live as an example in their own lives to the laws they enforce. You expect this of your congressmen and women, of your politicians elected to serve the nation they are employed by. This is also why it’s so heinous and feels so unjust and disgusting when we see our elected officials taking bribes, getting away with murder (and I mean murder literally and metaphorically). The same applies to the children of Yah. Not just believers, but unbelievers are disgusted when we abuse the authority given to us by Father Yah on this earth. And they’re turned off from wanting to know Yah for themselves when they see us not living by His terms, but by the world’s. They know fake when they see it just like Yah does. They know when we’re embarrassing the God of our fathers we claim to love and serve and we cannot expect to not be held accountable for making Him look bad. By giving a false image of who He is with our disobedience.

As we saw in Part I of this series, we see that what you serve as your god has the authority to judge you. As believers, we have given that authority to Yahuah. The LORD God Almighty is going to judge everyone anyway. We read that in Revelation. But we, as Believers in the Most High Yah, have given the authority to be judged SOLELY to Yahuah, and not false gods to reign over us. This is what the world is under. They worship Baal? Baal gets to reign over them. Baal gets the authority to do whatever the heck he wants, because you have decided to serve him. His rules. This is why Yah immediately said, first commandment, don’t have any other gods before you. Just me. He’s righteous, He’s just, He won’t do you dirty. It’s not just for your good, it’s not just because He deserves to get all the honor and glory and praise, it’s for your protection too. Protection from agents of darkness set to kill you and to evoke His wrath upon you. Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. And what better battle tactic than to use the terms and conditions you’re breaching with disobedience to rob you blind, set Yahuah’s wrath against you, and condemn you.

YAHWEH IS ALIVE AND SPEAKING TO HIS CHILDREN TODAY JUST LIKE HE WAS YESTERDAY IN THE BIBLE

Number 2: The next thing you see in Deuteronomy is the command to obey Yahuah’s law. All of it, and to obey His voice speaking directly to you as well. It said you didn’t listen to the voice of the LORD God Almighty, meaning something audible. Something Living. Something active. It’s not just the 10 Commandments we’re talking about here, it’s not just the scriptures. God is alive today, He’s still speaking, friend. He’s still talking to His people just like He was talking to Abraham, just like He was talking to David, just like He’s been talking to you. Yes, there are statutes too. He addresses those, and that by not obeying those and having a heart willing to gladly serve just Him, you open up generations of your family to curses authorized by your agreement to the terms and conditions of Deuteronomy 28. But the same happens when you don’t listen to what He’s saying directly to you.

Think about it: what would’ve happened if Abraham hadn’t left his home country and trusted Yah’s voice speaking to him? Tell me, what do you think? What about Peter? If he’d kept fishing? You have to think about these things as how they apply to you real time. It’s these terms and conditions that satan wants to use against you, knowing them better than many confessing Belivers today (which I pray this blog post is used to change) to get you riddled with the curses for disobedience. For breaking your part of the covenant. For not wanting to do your part in a covenant with a Yahweh who’s doing everything for you. Your part is small, friend. It might not feel that way, but in comparison to all the moves God is making behind the scenes, you’re just doing a little leg work. Truly. So whatever He’s asking of you? Trust me, it’s worth it and a lot more is at stake than you think.

Satan doesn’t want you to be up to date on that information too.

Because, my friend, the whole tactic is to call Yahweh a liar. He’s bluffing. That’s what he wants you to believe. “He’s not going to curse you,” he says, all slithery like. “Why would you be cursed if you’re saved?” Snake snake snakeeee. But Deuteronomy 28 blows the lid off of that by saying, yeah. I got you. You’re mine. But to be with me, I’ve got some terms. I’ve got some rules. These are my boundaries. We want boundaries in relationships with people, right? Respect me this way, show me you love me like this, etc. Same with the Elohim. If you love Me, He said, you’ll keep My commandments (John 14:15 KJV). It’s simple. I keep saying that because it’s really that simple. Don’t over complicate it, just believe.

When you believe He’s not bluffing, He’s not playing games, you realize that… whelp! Oh my goodness! You mean that my disobedience can set my family back for generations?? While satan is going, “no, never!” Yah is going, “I said what I said.” He means it. He really means it, beloved. And pride is the one thing that you can always locate when you are unwilling to submit to these terms and conditions, as I keep calling them. You don’t read them (like we didn’t read them when we downloaded Instagram or Snapchat), you don’t know what’s at stake.

Deuteronomy is not out of date just because it’s in the Old Testament or the Old Covenant. Yahusha didn’t come to do away with the law, but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17-18). Christ Himself said those Words don’t go away just because you’re saved. I am the FULLNESS of those Words, He says. And this is the major deception going on today. That you don’t have to keep your part of the bargain, so these feel good quotes of “salvation is free” makes you feel like you don’t have to do anything. Christianity then feels like the manifestation gospel, the prosperity gospel, the New Age crap filling up your desire to have things your way like Burger King. It feels like you’re not that far from the Word identifying with your enneagram or with the year of the snake you were born in because it’s all good in the New Age revolution just like it is in a belief system where there aren’t consequences as long as you confess Yahusha HaMashiach is Lord.

It’s a scapegoat, and a dangerous one, that keeps you from getting closer to Yah. And that scapegoat is pride. The majority of the time, that’s where the root of your unwillingness lies, and here’s why.

When You Believe the Word of Yah Means What It Says, You’ve Won

The focus is the seed, in our founding text, ie the Word of Yah, being planted in your heart and going ignored for the world. You get distracted, when you are the stony ground Yahweh is trying to plant His Word in, with the trials and tribulation and the lies and the deception that satan tries to come at you with once you give your life to Christ. So that being said, when He calls us and we are willing to ignore or disobey what He is saying to us, there is pride rising up from our hearts. And to ignore that pride is to set yourself up for failure. Why? Because instead of looking more like Yahusha, by diving into the Word and valuing what He is saying to us, we begin to look like satan instead of like Him. Because that’s who we’re then following.

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 16:18 KJV

What you see continuously in Deuteronomy 28:45-47 is that you’ll be destroyed for disobedience, or your failure to serve Yahuah with a whole heart. Somewhere in your bloodline one of those curses will hit your people. This is what satan looks like, a disgusting sin riddled being who is luring you to the judgment that he’s promised for his own rebellion against God.

All of a sudden, cancer starts to run in your family. This is a fall, my friend. Jesus has given you authority over sickness (Exodus 23:25 KJV). When you are obeying His laws and commandments and have given your life to Christ, sickness shouldn’t be able to touch you. If you rebuke it and it remains, there has been a breach in the contract. Sickness is always a sign that there is something wrong with the body, right? There’s something that isn’t functioning the way it should completely, right? Same spiritually. If a virus has invaded the Body of Yahusha, the Body of Yahusha is going to start looking sick. The world is sick, and so when we look like the world, something from the world has invaded our hearts. It’s how we are so easily seen as set apart when walking in the full confidence of God: we don’t look sick like them.

Pride is the cause of your fall, beloved. And when we repent of pride, things begin to open up in our life. There can be other things too, like covenants that you’ve entered into with demons or for certain prestige and fame, for example. But to begin repentance for a breach in contract, pride is the BEST PLACE to begin. Pride is the root of leaning into rebellion and witchcraft. The Bible says so.

IT’S NEVER TO LATE TO HUMBLE YOURSELF AND PRAY BEFORE A MERCIFUL GOD

When you look at these scriptures, knowing that as Christians our goal is to be more like Yahusha, it’s easy to understand that if you’re worshipping something other than Him, which therefore is something satanic, you are becoming more like satan. And to be more like him is to be proud and fall.

In part three, we’re going to tackle this beast. You’ve been given victory over sickness in verses like Exodus 23:25, beloved. You’ve been given victory over the curses set over the world for their rejection of God in Deuteronomy 28 with your agreement to serve and worship only Him as your Elohim. But now, you’ve got the breach to deal with. You’ve got to take care of where something went so wrong in your bloodline, that now your family’s churning out alcoholics like candy at a Wonka factory. You’ve got breast cancer running in the family or sickle cell anemia. You can’t understand why so many members of your family have children out of wedlock with no fathers around to help the single mothers in your bloodline. Or how many blind or deaf people carry this so called “hereditary” gene. These. Are. Curses. And you’re gonna be set free in the name of Jesus as we conclude in Part III.
