A Prayer for Future Generations I Will Not See
This Prayer Came from an Encounter with a Milkshake
Hello, my friend. When the Most High Yah first told me to go and grab a milkshake, I was pretty excited. I hadn’t had one in a while, summer was edging into the crisp wooly air, and I could already taste its sweet, thick, creaminess rolling down my throat. When I got there, ready to order, however, He hit me with, “Get a chocolate milkshake.”
Now let me catch you up to speed. Firstly, I don’t do just chocolate anything. It needs something added to it. Something like caramel and sea salt. Something like “white” before the chocolate part. Chocolate covered fruit is especially pleasing. But just plain chocolate? Lord, pleaseeeee.
“Get a chocolate milkshake.”
Out of obedience, I did that. I did just that. And while waiting in the drive-thru for my order, the Spirit of the Elohiym came upon me as He said, “Because you’ve been obedient, I’m going to give you xyz.” What was xyz? Xyz brought me to tears, beloved. Almost would have had me bending over if I hadn’t been driving.
How a Chocolate Milkshake Built a Prayer
I tell you this because it was unexpected. Adonai had really been on me in this season of beginning this blog and building it the way that He wants it done. I’ve seen a lot of bloggers in this Christian lifestyle space who’ve been at it a lot longer than me, and got a little intimidated at first because, well? I felt like I didn’t fit.
There’s not a lot of ads on this blog, if you haven’t noticed. I’m not one who’s on here telling you how to start a blog to finance your own personal life. Your christian lifestyle blog that makes money. It put me in a place where I felt a bit of pressure from hell to start “selling doves” so to speak, when I knew that this wasn’t a place for that. And the day before, I’d turned down an opportunity to make quite a bit of money on this blog. And this chocolate milkshake came out of it.
The milkshake was delicious. I’m here to tell you it was out of this world good. It was like the blessing He spoke over me was infused in the milkshake. But that wasn’t the best part. The best part about that divine encounter in that drive-thru line was that when He spoke it over me, immediately I wanted others to be told that very same thing.
“Generations upon generations of your children’s children will be with me.”
There were more personal things about this blessing He spoke, but the gist was that He was going to bless generations upon generations of my bloodline. A bloodline that He said I would not see. And when He spoke that, the Ruach Ha’Qodesh compelled me to ask if I could pray the same thing for other women of the Most High who hadn’t even seen children get born in their family yet. Like me.
THE BEAUTY OF A PRAYER FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS
If you didn’t know, at the moment of writing this, I am both childless and unmarried. I’m single, never been married. How dare the Most High tell me that He’s going to bless generations of MY children’s children that I would not see. That He would be with them and that they would be explosively blessed. Beyond border and boundaries or limitations blessed. Because of my obedience to do things His way. It brings up the founding scripture for this prayer, among other scriptures we’re going to brief through, And this scripture was one He gave me before sitting down to write this.
8 “Now then, tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock, and appointed you ruler over my people Israel.
9 I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men on earth.
10 And I will provide a place for my people Israel and will plant them so that they can have a home of their own and no longer be disturbed. Wicked people will not oppress them anymore, as they did at the beginning
11 and have done ever since the time I appointed leaders over my people Israel. I will also give you rest from all your enemies.
“‘The Lord declares to you that the Lord himself will establish a house for you:
12 When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom.
13 He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
14 I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with a rod wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands.
15 But my love will never be taken away from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you.
16 Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever.’”
17 Nathan reported to David all the words of this entire revelation.
2 Samuel 7:8-17 NIV
Now when Yahuah said this to me, He didn’t mean I wouldn’t see my great grandchildren, grandchildren, or raise my children. What He was saying to me was that there would be a place in His kingdom for my descendants forever. They would have to contend for that position by believing that Yahusha HaMoshiach came and died for our sins, placing Himself as the ultimate sacrifice. They would have to live a life of repentance prayer and be yoked to Him as His people, but He would bless them continually and without end should they commit to Him as their ONLY Elohiym and Messiah.
The beauty of this was the peace it gave me to continue to surrender my life to the Most High. This can be hard for some, who like me were comparing my calling and how He was telling me to set up this Christian lifestyle blog. My assignment isn’t going to look like yours, my friend, but it should look like the One who sent you to complete the work He’s given to you. It shouldn’t look like a marketplace unless He’s actually sent you into the marketplace (i.e. creating a sustainable business of some sort instead of a ministry devoted to teaching, healing, prayer, etc.)
There are some people in the sheep fold, and I’m compelled to say this, who are simply marketing Yahusha to pay their bills. Their articles are crap, they’re only saying things that sound like faith but there’s no anointing on their words. They’re not called to blog for the Most High, as they’ve convinced so many of their followers that they are, they’ve been planted like the tares amongst the wheat to deceive people into thinking that their money mindedness is Messiah centered. They’re showing and teaching people how to profit off of the Word of Yah instead of seeking first the kingdom, and being added to by Him for it.
DAVID’S RESPONSE IS A PROPHETIC CALL TO ALL THOSE WOMEN CALLED TO SERVE HIM IN THE BLOGGING SPACE
What I didn’t remember about this chapter of 2 Samuel is that when I asked Yah if I could pray for others, David’s response to the prophetic word spoken by the prophet Nathan was the same.
18 Then King David went in and sat before the Lord, and he said: “Who am I, Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?
19 And as if this were not enough in your sight, Sovereign Lord, you have also spoken about the future of the house of your servant—and this decree, Sovereign Lord, is for a mere human!
20 “What more can David say to you? For you know your servant, Sovereign Lord.
21 For the sake of your word and according to your will, you have done this great thing and made it known to your servant.
22 “How great you are, Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.
23 And who is like your people Israel—the one nation on earth that God went out to redeem as a people for himself, and to make a name for himself, and to perform great and awesome wonders by driving out nations and their gods from before your people, whom you redeemed from Egypt?
24 You have established your people Israel as your very own forever, and you, Lord, have become their God.
25 “And now, Lord God, keep forever the promise you have made concerning your servant and his house. Do as you promised,
26 so that your name will be great forever. Then people will say, ‘The Lord Almighty is God over Israel!’ And the house of your servant David will be established in your sight.
27 “Lord Almighty, God of Israel, you have revealed this to your servant, saying, ‘I will build a house for you.’ So your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to you.
28 Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.
29 Now be pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight; for you, Sovereign Lord, have spoken, and with your blessing the house of your servant will be blessed forever.”
2 Samuel 7:18-29 NIV
The leadership in these spaces is about to change, and I’m here to let you know that there will be a falling away in the coming season of those who have been falsely placed in the Christian blogging sphere by satan. They will no longer be able to maintain what they have planted, and will be devoured by their own greed and lust for worldly success disguised as piety.
David’s heart towards the Most High was revealed as gratitude. There was nothing that David had done outside of doing what Yahuah said to do, unlike his predecessor Saul. Saul made every excuse in the book to the prophet Samuel for why he did this order or direction for Yah his own way whenever he was accused of disobedience. He was rejected from the face of Yahuah Elohiym and His descendants were wiped out. All but one and only because of the covenant David had made with Jonathan, Saul’s son. It’s important to remember that Yah is the same, yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). The same. He wasn’t blessing me because I was special. He was blessing me because there is a reward for the saints who diligently seek and worship Him (Hebrews 11:6). And not having that at the forefront of my mind, I’d also forgotten a vision I’d received about two years prior.
In this vision, Yahusha HaMashiach was holding my child, one of them, and He was overjoyed and delighted. He was looking at the baby in His arms and then looked at me and said, with such joy, “They know me! They know me!” And that was the vision.
Adonai was recommitting to me something that had been promised me back a few years. He was reminding me of the path forward and that with my obedience, no matter if it involved me going to get a chocolate milkshake I didn’t think I’d even want, He would bring to pass all that He had promised me.
LET THIS BE A WARNING AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO YOU IN YOUR WALK WITH THE MOST HIGH YAH
This is the prayer that He’s given to me for you, ladies. I feel so blessed because this isn’t just about me. This is to encourage those of you who have felt forgotten by the Most High, who feel unseen in the shadow of false prophets spreading prosperity messages on their “Christian” blogs. To those who have been faithful in the background without asking for anything in return. This is your season to go to Yahuah because He wants you to come up higher.
This is the season of elevation in the kingdom of Elohiym for the saints who have been through the fire for HIS glory. He wants not just to reward you, but to elevate you so that HIS purposes can continue in the earth. The earth is crying out for the children of men who know the Most High Yah to do what they’ve been put on this earth to do (Romans 8:19-23 KJV). The season of the harvest has come and He is rewarding those who have come as servants to work the harvest instead of come and simply eat of its bounty for themselves.
THE PRAYER
Dear Abba Father,
Forgive me. Forgive me for any wrongs of unbelief I may have had about who You are. You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You (Hebrews 11:6) and You have come to me with my own personal promises that You wish to fulfill in my lifetime. Forgive me for not pressing in as I should have into these promises. Forgive me and have mercy on me for not contending for the words that have been spoken over my life by prophets you sent to plant seeds in me. Let this prayer water, as You said in Your Word that one plants, another water, and that YOU and YOU ALONE bring the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6-7 NIV).
I thank You, Adonai. I thank You for your bountiful mercy towards me. I thank You for Your goodness and Your good thoughts and hope towards me, for a future that is bigger than all I can think and imagine (Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 3:20). I thank You, El Shaddai, that Your thoughts towards me are continually good and that You are a good and great Elohiym who I will worship until my dying day.
I pray, Father Yahuah, before you now that the relationship that You have with me deepens in my children and children’s children to the fourth and fifth generation. I pray that You will revisit them for good as they devote their lives to honoring and serving you the way that You see fit. I will do my part in teaching them the Way that they should go, that they will love You and only love You as their Elohiym and Savior (Deuteronomy 11:19-21, Proverbs 22:6). I will remind them of what You have done for our ancestors, and will teach them how to come before You all the days of their life. So keep Your Word, precious Abba. Please keep Your Word to bless them and make of them a great nation. For You are worthy to be praised and who will praise You if they are dead (Psalm 6:5)? Raise them up to be strong and mighty warriors of the faith, who pray without ceasing and are able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-20). I will pray that they will be given the utterance by YOU to speak what they need to speak, be where they need to be, and keep the company only You would keep. But I pray that You teach them Your Word as Your Ruach Ha’Qodesh has taught me. So that they will not be fooled by sheep in wolves clothing.
I pray, Yahuah Nicciy, Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, that You will not allow them to be deceived. Warn them of false teachers! Let not their inheritance be that they are given over to itching ears! Let them not be like prodigals who decide to stay in the pig pen, but stir up their spirit and convict them when they begin to lean towards the world and its system. Let them savor the taste of Your Word all the days of their life. Let it be good to them and strengthen them for the work in the harvest fields to come.
I pray that You keep them, as you have promised your servant Chase. Let it be my portion too, Adonai, for you are no respecter of persons (Romans 11:11). Let in my bloodline a sound cry out from the wilderness that You are who You say You are even in a perverse and destitute and whorish generation that will have hearts that wax cold. Let them be a continual cry that You will not be mocked (Galatians 6:7). Because just as Hannah prayed in Your presence, I pray that I give my children to You forever (1 Samuel 1:11). I pray that they remain in Your presence all the days of their life, that they are never ashamed of the gospel of Yahusha HaMashiach and profess it in the nations that You give to them (Psalm 2:8-9). I pray that their inheritance of these nations shake the kingdom of darkness and that the harvest is ripe and that you sheep are no longer thin and sickly in the areas that You send my descendants. That Your glory is manifested, and your sheep wander no more from you in the nations to which You give my children’s children’s children to go.
Thank You, Almighty Yah, for I know You have heard Your servant today.
In the precious name of our Yahusha HaMashiach, I thank You.
Amen.
Be Encouraged Daughters of Yah
I hope you were encouraged today, daughters of the Most High Yah. It can be fierce out here, but you are more than well equipped for the battles ahead of holding on fiercely to the promises of Yahuah Elohiym. Let this prayer be an answer to any doubt that He said what He said to you, and meant to fulfill it in the fullness of time.
Much love.
